Out of curiosity, what is the farthest anyone has accurately been able to personally shoot with the 105 A-Max?
I've shot the 105amax and 107 smk at 1000yds.
After finalizing my load development I shot a confirmation group at 600yds and 1000yds . The results...1.25" group at 600 yds, 4.5" group at 1000yds. 3shots. I only shot 1group on paper. Guess I got lucky on my first groups so I never shot any more.
I usually just shoot gongs...a lot more fun.
I did shoot an antelope at 750yds with the 107 smk..that's all the confirmation I really needed!
I was shooting a6-284 win...my favorite long range 6mm.
I'm building a 6mm wsm barrel burner just for fun to see if it can beat the 6-284win

That's all of the confirmation I would want too lol Either way that's hard to " luck" into groups like that at grand. I'm sure the guns a tack driver.

I know it's been a little while, but I finally got around to testing these loads a little more, and I switched to the first node in this rifle and split it with 42.2 gr. It's shooting a constant 0.35 MOA group from 100 yards to 910 as of today. I'm getting 2990 fps out of it, and here's a group I shot today at 910, 3 3/8" 3-shot group. A buddy of mine had the bottom hit with his 6.5 CM..

Thanks y'all. I don't have a anti cant bubble on that rig, so I'm hoping I may even be able to shrink it a shade, but I can't complain with hose results one bit. Dgd6mm, I'm glad I went the way other experienced shooters would have gone.

that's some amazing shooting.
I have just settled on a load for my 6x47L using 105 Amax. This is the first time I've used these bullets and dam they shoot nice.
This is a three shot group I shot last week @100yrds with a cold, fouled bore

H4350 through a 20" barrel- 2935fps, ES 12.
Not pushed this load at proper ranges yet but i doubt it will come close to that group of yours.
Whats your intended use for the rifle and load, or did you already say?

I originally got it for a hunting rifle, but as good as it's shooting it'll prob be another target rifle throughout the year. At least I will feel more comfortable take a long range shot at an animal. I've only shot that load through the chrono a few times, and I have a ES of 17.
