Recoil doesn't bother me too much, have shot some nasty recoiling rifles that were non-magnums and shot some magnums that were a real pleasure to shoot. But as some have posted, as I get older, I'm looking for less recoil.

From my understanding, the triangular shape was to provide stiffness, similar to a "bull" barrel, with a lighter barrel weight. I personally have never seen one, but they were supposedly tack drivers.

I've been using a Buck 110 or Vanguard and a Havalon for the last dozen years or more.

The only rifle I had any luck with GMX was in 243, all the other calibers I own, didn't like it. I have since settled on using Barnes.
