    ATV advice

I don’t have any experience other than with Honda’s, all positive, and mainly Ranchers. I recently just sold my 2007, 4x4 ES, EFI for $100 more than I paid for it 10 years ago. Only had 104 hours and 550-ish. Was used only for duck hunting. To say the least, Honda’s hold their value.

Behind enemy lines in CA. Need to escape. Need help

It took me a few days, but I’ve finally read this entire post. That video of the KGB guy was pretty spot on, I’ve already shared it with a few friends. Like some of the other guys on here, I fall into the millennial age. I’ll be 33 next month and was born and raised in Northern California, and...

Compliment Caliber to .270 Win using Copper Bullets

I'm super stoked to get my hands on it (gotta wait the 10 days here in CA) but once I do I'm going to shoot 150s and 165s through it and see what groups the best. Since my .270 is set up for 130s, I'd like to make the jump in having a rifle dialed in for a heavier bullet than 150 gr, but I like...

Compliment Caliber to .270 Win using Copper Bullets

Just wanted to let everyone who replied I appreciate your thoughts and suggestions and ended up going with a Stainless Stalker X-bolt in .30-06. Can't wait to pick it up. Will probably go with a Leupold VX3 for an optic.

Compliment Caliber to .270 Win using Copper Bullets

I've shot a friends .300 WM once at the range, but it had a break on it. No issues with the recoil. I'm not really sure how I feel about muzzle breaks though. I've shot an 06 several times and don't have any issues with the recoil bothering me on the bench or in the field. The .270 Weatherby is...

Thanks Big. I should've said in my initial post that I don't currently reload.

Compliment Caliber to .270 Win using Copper Bullets

Looking to purchase a second bolt action rifle for my pig and deer needs in CA. I've had good success with my Model 70 in .270 Win, but last last fall I had my .270 in the shop for two months due to my bolt lock sleeve pin and spring getting lost on a previous hunt(. So, I was centerfire-less...

    Velocity loss

    Awesome. Thanks!

    Velocity loss

In a .270 Win, going from a 24 inch barrel to 22, it seems velocity loss is around 35 fps per inch. Can anyone tell what that portrays to in ft/lbs at 100, 200 and 300 yards? Is there a formula out there for this? I know most game won't know the difference but just curious for my own sanity...

    New Bolt Gun

That sucks man, hopefully Weatherby takes care of the situation for you. I had a customer tell me once, you don't know how good a company is until there's a problem. Keep me posted on how Weatherby handles this.

    New Bolt Gun

    Now you got me thinking.......

    New Bolt Gun

Hmmm interesting comments, but they are much appreciated. It boggles my mind that a gun with the price tag of the Accumark doesn't get thoroughly checked for stuff like this, and how long has Weatherby been making rifles for? Just curious, is your Accumark the Range Certified version or standard?

    New Bolt Gun

I am jealous of you for that. I may not fully understand the competitiveness of the firearms market, but really!? The model 70 not being made in US anymore? There are something's that just make you shake your head like a monkey. This is the reason I was really considering the Montana or...
