    375 follower for a M70

Thank you for the suggestion of using the 300 RUM follower. Midwest deliverd a nice looking aluminum follower, functionality it’s probably the same as the plastic ones but it feels better. In any case, the Mag box I put in the rifle is a 375 version so I had to narrow the 300RUM version a bit...

    375 follower for a M70

The original 300 WM follower has some play that looks like it may cause it to tip. is the 300RUM follower longer than the 300WM?

    Flatest shooting AR cal.??

tossing this out if you are looking at a hot 6 in an AR15 size platform. Competition shooters who have gone down that road have reported short bolt life. White Oak Arsenal, one of the best known AR builders for Service Rifle and Match Rifle shooting will not chamber a rifle for you in...

    375 follower for a M70

I have a new model controlled feed M70 in 300WM. I have changed out the mag box, bolt stop and ejector with 375H&H parts to buy more mag length and it seems to works great; however, I can’t for the life of me find a 375 length follower. The 300WM follower is small for the 375 box. Midwest, who...

    215 Hybrid - 300WM

This is a new-ish CRF rifle. I've already changed the box, ejector, and bolt stop and put in 375 parts, but I suspect that the 300 length follower is eventually going to bind up. It's not where it wants to be in the new box. The Wyatt version requires machining, but I may end up going that...

    215 Hybrid - 300WM

Still looking for a 375 follower for this rifle. My search-fu is not strong enough. I can't find them anywhere, and the places that used to stock them show them as "discontinued". Any ideas would be appreciated.

    215 Hybrid - 300WM

Just a followup on this one, I changed out the mag box, ejector and bolt stop and put in the appropriate 375 parts. I've run some dummy rounds through it and it works seated a bit longer, about 3.60 or so OAL, but I'm finding that seating the 215 that deep it is pushing the driving band past...

300WM vs 300WSM different question, maybe...

Thank you. I may never take this anywhere but I’m pulling a fluted 30” 1:10 off of one of my 308s this yr that would make a dandy 26” barrel. Though even fluted its would be on the heavy side for a hunting rifle.

300WM vs 300WSM different question, maybe...

I get that the WM has more capacity and can run heavy, as in 175/180 class bullets faster than the WSM in most standard configurations, but that usually compares a short action WSM and a long action WinMag, and never compares them with the long 200gr+ bullets that really challenge either...

Case head separation due to FL resizing brass?

I reload about 2000+ rounds a yr for competition all of them are FL sized. I've not had a case head seperation in close to 8 yrs, and that was because I was shooting the brass in 2 different chambers. That doesn't happen any more since I started buying my own reamers. Here is a trick for you...

Best methods to create low ES and SD hand loads with the easiest and simplest reloading work up.

I shoot F-TR so my loading is by a huge% for 308s, but the Open guys shooting the short magnums do the same. In order to hold the 5" X-Ring at 1000 yards you need to have an ES at about 15FPS or less. Most of the competitors at the top of the board can hold that. The F-TR national Record is...

45/70 - the original long range caliber

First, if you want to shoot it I'd suggest that you don't get a Quigley copy of any variety whether it be from Montana or Italy. The metal buttplate and no pistol grip is not the best setup for volume shooting with heavy bullets or controlling the torque these babies make. Better to have a...

    215 Hybrid - 300WM

Thanks, ordered the 375 ejector too. Hopefully this gets me close to where I need to be. Moving the bullet out .150 is a substantial move.

    215 Hybrid - 300WM

I've been looking at the idea of getting a 375 box and see if it will feed w/o modifying the ejector or the bolt stop like you do with the Wyatt's. Midwest gunworks sells them and has them in stock. @martinakl Do you recall if yours would feed with the 300/375H&H box?
