    preping brass

S1, I noticed in your last post that you said FL resize every time you reload a case. I have a .308 that I have only been neck sizing for. Most of my cases have been loaded 3-4 times each and I was planning to use them at least a few more times without FL resizing. Is there any risk to this...

Ideal Bullets for .308 26" 1:12 twist Barrel

S1, I looked up your recomendation on Midway. Is it the Berger Match 185 VLD Hollow Point? Also, any advice as to who would have the best prices on these as well as the 175 gr AMAX? Thanks for the info.

Ideal Bullets for .308 26" 1:12 twist Barrel

Thanks for the advice. I have had some great results with the 168's, but the 150 and 155's have been a bit disappointing. I'll try the 175 SMK's.

Ideal Bullets for .308 26" 1:12 twist Barrel

I have been experimenting with loads for my .308 FN SPR. It has a 26" 1:12 twist barrel. Thus far I have loaded 168 SMK's, 155 SMK Palmas and 150 AMAX's all over varying amounts of Varget. My next loads will be with 175 SMK's. Should I take twist rate into account when selecting various bullet...

    Salvaging Primed Cases

Thanks for all the replies. I removed the decapper and resized the necks as S1 suggested and it worked great. Still, it's good to know I can fire the primed cases without worry. Thanks again, Marcine

    Salvaging Primed Cases

I just primed a small tray of once fired brass and then discovered I did not have enough tension on the necks to adequately retain the bullets. I want to salvage the brass and want to know the best, safest way to do this. Can I simply chamber the cases, fire the primers (just a primer in a case...

Fed Brass vs. Win. Brass & Lee Auto-Prime

    1. I am reloading 308 rounds for my FN SPR. I plan to start out with 44.0 gr of Varget (working up to the 47 gr in the manual), w/168 g SMK's and Fed 210M primers. The Hodgdon reloading manual specifically lists Winchester Brass. Is it possible that the substitution will have an adverse effect...
