To add to my post above I'm at 4000' elevation getting 2800 fps with an SD of about 15'. This is all through a 6.5 creedmoor ruger American predator 22" barrel with a break. I'm not a huge fan of the break.
I've used superformance and seen great results, cover 4 shots with a nickel @100yds. I'm using Sierra GK SBT 140g and 46.2g of powder. But I would like to know if it's temp sensitive?...

Im thinking of hunting elk this year with my 6.5 creed. Ruger American I've been shooting sierra game kings sbt 140. And they are pretty solid groups at 100. I'm using superformance powder 46.2 gr. And CCi primers. 2800 fps @4500' elevation
I just bought 180 Berger vld for my tikka 300WM... should I load them or return them? If return, what should I get as an alternative? Obviously I want highest BC and best seating... oh and this is a LR hunting application.... and you are correct the VLD's are a mile from the lands.
I have a tikka in 300wm and it's deadly out of the bow for sure, however I just started to reload for my 6.5 creedmoor and I was inspired to start loading for the tikka and I ran into the issue with magazine length. I'm having a hard time finding a bullet that will maximize BC and ft the correct...
