Steve, nice write up! Makes me feel like I’m there and can’t wait to get back! I’d highly recommend a hunt with Trophy Game Safaris. I went with hammer group in 2018 and calendars just haven’t lined up to go back with them. I’ll be going back next year in August.

May have left in tumbler too long? The process I use is to tumble in a medicine bottle with steel BB,s and HBN. I did a batch once and walked away and forgot about them for about 3 hours. They came out black…

I built one about a year ago and went with 1:6.5 twist Pac-Nor, that way I can shoot about any bullet I want but mainly did it for the faster twist rates required by many of the mono bullets.
