I think it is...the stock doesn't collapse all the way to the receiver like on a carbine. You can still see about an inch of buffer tube even with stock at its most forward position. It's definitely longer than my carbine buffer tubes.
I'll have to double check in the am but I'm pretty sure the sfar sports a rifle length buffer tube. It's certainly not a carbine length tube. I found out today a breek arms Warhammer won't work. It fits but upon firing there is contact and the charging hand gets knocked back. Looks like the...
Bridgeville rifle and pistol club in Deleware may be closer than peacemaker. Make sure you new ar barells are actually stamped hbar on the barell. Md has some silly rules.
I think the 308 is more versatile with the ability to load from 110gr varmint bullets to 220gr subsonic and everything in between. I honestly can't tell a diffrence in recoil between a 140gr 6.5creed and a 168gr 308 from similarly weighted rifles and on game performance is basically a tie. I...
Define East? Peacemaker national training center in WV has 1k. Pa has a couple I'm aware of Mifflin county sportsman is the only one I've been to In PA.
I have a pulsar thermion xm38 and a agm rattler ts35-384....the pulsar is the original not the newer thermion. For me the rattler is easier to navigate and has better resolution. Whatever you go with don't go below 384 resolution or your ID range will not be as good. Decide what base...
Me- 45yds crossbow...this is my 9yr old son's first season pulling the trigger so I've been focused on getting him deer he's taken 2 now
Son- 100yds 223 62gr gold dot
I have used the 168gr amax/eldm to hunt deer with for over a decade now. On deer sized game at 308 velocities It works great. I've also never seen a 308 that wouldn't shoot it well with 44gr rl 15. Varget also works around the same charge.
I hear ya I'm down to my last 4 lbs of it ...I picked up a keg of ramshot magnum at a local shop to try as it usually seems available but haven't messed with it yet
The 16" is midlength but the 20" is rifle length. Where did you see the 20" is mid? I can also assure you it runs fine on full power 308 loads on gas setting 2 and it has a pretty heavy buffer spring.
I used it with rl26 with good success. I started a thread about this bullet last year wish I could figure out how to link it here it had some decent info and a couple kill pics.
Just picked one of these up myself. Got the 16" version to use in the mountains of WV stalking deer bear and coyote. So far I'm happy with it have yet to work up a load specifically for it but it shoots 168amax with 44gr rl15 inside an inch @ 100yds. Weighs 7.7 lbs scoped and feels exactly like...
