Hey everyone,
I'm upgrading my 30-378 die to a precision die. I need to order bushings separately.
What three sizes should I get. I don't have a way to measure because all my ammo and reloading stuff is at my dad's house 100 miles away.
Any info would be great.
Thanks!!!
7MM,
That perpendicular test is exactly what I did. Should I go ahead and try to correct it?
It seems that 1 3/4 inches drift at 100 yards from zero to 44 clicks would be a lot out at 700 - 800 yards.
Thanks
Hey guys,
I just got back from the range and discovered that my scope has "twisted" a little counter clockwise.
When dialed in at 100 yards I was dead center verticle. When I dialed up my scope about 44 clicks, I was 11" high but about 1 3/4 to the right.
My scope bases and gun were level...
So do you think your barrel was shot from using RL25 powder for that gun, or from letting it get HOT?
I've heard Retumbo is a good powder for the 30-378 since it's a slower burn.
I am paranoid about waiting for my barrel to cool when I'm on the range.
Could anyone give me a place to start with this load?
I've been shooting 180 grain Accubonds with 111 grn Retumbo at 3410fps.
If I stay with this powder, how many grains should I use?
Thanks everyone.
No Thompson LR setup. I just put it together myself, had it accurized locally and got a drop chart.
I don't know if I'm happiest that the gun did so well, or that I found a place in Utah were I can hunt a 28" buck on a general OTC hunt.
My target is a 500 brinell armor protector plate. It basically means that as long as the terminal speed is less than 3200 fps, you can shoot it all day long.
Also, My target has a bolt on clasp instead of a chain. I think chains can break after getting hit one or two times.
go to...
I have a plate of the 1/2" reinforced stuff. I don't shoot it closer than 300 yards. No pits or indentations ever. Just don't shoot FMJs.
The only problem with mine is it is Very Heavy.
I bought it at metaltargets.com They do custom targets too.
Cheaper than every other place I found.
It's AMAZING what money can buy.
Enough money to pay the army hunting it.
Regardless, it's a great bull to say the least.
That bull makes me proud to be from Utah, mossback doesn't.
Brad Stair in West Haven. Performance Guns. He makes 2000 yard wildcats for the military and Utah SWAT.
He's a long range superfreak.
He's really busy so don't plan on getting your gun for about 3 - 4 months.
He does accurizing, rebarrels, triggers, bedding, blueprinting, etc.
Highly...
