My 30" Bull Criterion and factory Savage are the least picky to load development so far. The custom barrels of old would out shoot factory barrel, but took time to do so. My Criterion shot a 1/2" first 5 shots just breaking in barrel..........perfect.

We gave up on the 36 gr Barnes Grenade bullets. At 200-250 yds they would hit aim point one time and then drift to the right or left next time, our kill ratio went down so far we quit shooting them. Both in 1-12 Savage 22-250 Howa 22-250 also 1-12 and my 1-14 twist.

Forgot! WIND. Mother nature don't care about ballistics, she never moves the wind at a constant speed. We can have 4 mph on wind meter at bench and our flags at 1 miles flying straight out, then in a moments notice, the flags dead to the ground.............Ballistics calculator can't work up...

We had same problem with 1/4" clicks, Just sight in at 300 yds and your problem is solved. There are enough variables at 300 your 1/4" clicks will be fine. Varmint hunting: most targets are big enough at close range the 1/4" click doesn't matter......................good luck.

gun)I too had trigger problems with Target action accutrigger. Set factory target action trigger at 10 ounces or remove red blade. You can install a $16.00 replacement spring and fix the problem too. The only problem I ever had with Savage was pillars in stock didn't touch action, easy fix...
