    Weatherby Rounds!

I own a 300WBY and have never had any issues reloading without crimp. As others have said, semi-auto and handguns should be crimped. I think you’d be spending unnecessary money on crimping dies. Hope this helps and happy shooting!

    belted cartridges

Nothing wrong with belted cases. Matter of fact, that’s all I’ll ever run. It’s simply a different beast. Sizing, and seating are your biggest issues. Over pressures are common, so when working loads, start in the middle.

    210grain 30cal Berger VLD reloading

My gun is pretty heavy too. Haven’t weighed it though. Has a vortex viper pst gen2 ffp 5x25x50. Berger will be all new to me. I’ve used nosler for all my reloading, but recently ran into a big problem. Started measuring from ogive rather than oal, and the darn plastic tips on their accubond line...

    210grain 30cal Berger VLD reloading

210grain is locally available. I’ll look into the 215 and 230s. Found the correct seating stem. Redding #55730 if anyone else is looking for it. Thanks to all for your comments!

    210grain 30cal Berger VLD reloading

Hello all!, Just bought these rounds and plan on working up a load for my 300wby mag. I use Redding competition dies, and heard they make a special seating stem for the VLD line of bullets. Does anyone have any input on this (bought it, use it, know the correct part number I need)? As always...

    Bullet drop chart for 300wby

Hello all! Wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction as to a website or chart where I can find bullet drop in inches past 800yds. I’m shooting 150grain bullets. I have a chart I found that gets me out to 800, and have tested up to 500yds and it’s pretty close. Just hoping to find...

New 300 WM —How to find “THE”bullet

I shoot a 300wby mag and had post about what twist to get when buying a new barrel. Had a ton of replies from the friendly and experienced people of this website and they came to the same conclusion. Heavier bullets would be best for an 8twist. Not much help on selection I know. But I thought...

New Mexico 2019 - What did you draw?

I applied for deer rifle. No luck. I’m sure all the Texas applicants drew though... (no offense Texas, my beef is with NM game and fish. Glad you guys drew)

    Barrel length and twist question

So if I’m running a lighter end bullet out of a magnum, I would benefit from a longer barrel over worrying about twist? Meaning I could run a 10t in a 28” barrel and would get better results over a wider range of bullet weights?

    Barrel length and twist question

Does anyone have the science behind twist and barrel length? Feel free to bag on me for not understanding, I just want to know when is it better to have barrel length vs more twist? What makes the perfect match and why? Thanks gents
