Thanks guys, I really doubted it would be a serious problem, but wanted to ask around before I dropped the cash.

I'm thinking about ordering one of these as a late Christmas present to myself. In reading some reviews, I've seen some people complaining about the reticle being too fine. Does anyone here have any experience with the 4-16x50mm and whether or not the reticle is acceptable for a hunting rifle?

It's a long action, 7mm rem mag. I'd really prefer synthetic I think. I'm trying to keep weight reasonable.

I'm looking to put a stock on a savage rifle. The factory stock doesn't have the Monte Carlo style cheekpiece and I want one. Any brand suggestions? Im leaning toward a bell and Carlson, but I already have one b&c on the way for anothe rifle, and would like to try something different.

The more I think about it, I think the 4-16 will be the best choice for me. I do a fair amount of still hunting in heavy timber. The frequency for me to have to pull up the rifle and shoot fast is too great to have 6.5 as a minumum.

That's pretty much exactly what I had going through my head. I think the 4-16 will cover almost anything I'd want it to.

I am torn between 2 different magnification ranges in the vortex viper scope line. Right now I'm leaning toward either 4-16 or 6.5-20. Right now I'm leaning toward the 4-16 but wanted some more opinions.

I've got some time to think about this one, I've got several other "projects" to tackle first. Number one being a new scope for another rifle. I'll be doing a lot of research on cartridge before I proceed.

I'm thinking a lightweight Coues deer/ varmint rifle might be in the future.
