I killed it 12 pt Buck with one but got rid of it because it didn’t take well to a scope.

If you want to sell the BAR let me know! I hat one in 7 mag which was stolen 10 years ago (in a burglary) and am trying to replace it. I’d swap the barrel to a 7 mag and go from there.

Nice Buck. Congratulations on the family man approach. I came from a broken family and am trying to make up for it with my kids and grandkids! And nice rifle, I also shoot a Model 70.

    What about .270 Winchester?

Winchester Model 70 is hard to beat. I like the Classic version with control round feed. You don’t need to spend a lot for pre-64 versions since modern cnc machining reduces labor costs and provides safer gas venting for a pierced primer. I have a classic wood and blued version made in New Haven...

    What about .270 Winchester?

My longest confirmed kill on a whitetail was 455 yards. I of course use the “Rifleman’s rifle “ Winchester 70 with CRF. I’ve used this cartridge for 40 plus years and why fix it if it’s not broken? A little custom reloading gives it better results. My personal favorite is the Scirocco 130’s when...

270 Winchester, 6.5-06, or 25-06 Fast Twist Deer Rifle

Hands down 270. I've been using it for over 40 years. If I do my part, nothing survives it. Jack Conley killed almost every big game on the planet including elephants.

You don't save money by reloading. You just shoot more!
