    280AI

I have a Savage UL in 280AI. I love the cartridge, the rifle comes to my shoulder well and I like the adjustability of comb and length, I like being able to carry it in the mountains without breaking my back, and the balance with a Harvestor EVO suppressor is pretty good but, the action is as...

Looking for a factory 280AI rifle.

I have a Savage UL in 280AI. I love the cartridge, the rifle comes to my shoulder well, I like being able to carry it in the mountains without breaking my back, and the balance with a Harvestor EVO supressor isn't bad but, the action is as smooth as a gravel road compared to my Tikka or my...

Anyone else getting double emails daily?

yes, I am getting two identical emails about 7 minutes apart, thought someone at LRH has been chewing Doublemint gum or listening to some old Foreigner songs.

    Custom CRF action

Bighorn TL3. I have a lefty short action and use it with a heavy barrel and TT Diamond trigger for PRS during the spring and summer and then spin a hunting barrel on with a TT special trigger and drop it in a hunting stock in the fall. Bold maintenance and changing bolt heads is super easy.

Stuck Brass need some advice please

Works like a charm. you only need a small handful of washers. Once you move the casing about 1/4" or so, it should slide right out of the die.

    Rem 700 short action - 7mm-08 build

Another route to consider is get a Tikka from Europtic with a military discount for about $100 more than the SPS and gradually upgrade it with a custom stock and eventually a new barrel or two. You can switch it from a short action to long action with a little receiver part and new magazine.

Range finding binoc's all in the left barrel?

You might want to check out a monocular - Vortex, Sig and Revic have rangefinding and some of their models include a ballistic calculator.

    22LR Trainer scope options. Suggestions.

You may consider a Vortex Diamondback Tactical 4-16x44 with first focal plane and mil. It retails for ~$400 but with the FFP and mil, he can learn to range using the scope quite easily and easily see wind holds when doing holdover. This is what I use on my 10/22 at 22PRS matches.

Post your .22LR target pics, please! 😁

My 10/22 build - Fedderson barrel Kidd receiver Kidd 2 stage trigger Boyd At-One stock Vortex Diamondback Tactical 4-16x Magpul bipod Lapua Center-X Last shot was the flyer. I was amazed at the difference in ammo. Federal Automatch is my backup ammo and almost as good. Tried a box of Ely...

    Help picking Binoculars

I have the Swaro 10x32 NL Pure. The glass is just amazing. It is light enough to not be a burden and I don't feel that I am losing more than 10 minutes of twilight with the 10x42 NL Pure. Compared to any other mfg, I feel these can easily compete with the light gathering of any 42mm while...

    Savage Impulse Mountain Hunter

The one downside to the Tikka is that to shoot suppressed, you need to replace the barrel to get more meat for muzzle threads. To keep the weight down, a carbon barrel fits this need nicely but then you also need to either hog out the stock or replace it - total cost to shoot suppressed with...
