    6.5 Creedmor- the Holy Grail?

Live in Alaska and hunting lots of game!!! Rule of thumb in Alaska is 30 caliber and bigger!!! Lots of big animals up here, and you could have a run in with a Grizz or brown bear and I would rather be over gunned than under gunned!!! 6.5 Creedmoor is a great round, just for certain animals in my...

    Kodiak brown bear rifle

Live in Fairbanks, Alaska. Caliber choice for me would be 30 caliber and up. Shot my first moose at 240 yards with 1 round from my custom 300 RUM with 200 grain AB . It's all about shot placement. Just my 2 cents.

New 700 Long Range Trigger Adjustment

Have Remington LR in 7 mm and the first thing I did was change the stock trigger with Timney. Makes a world of difference....

which of these calibers would you pick?

Out of your choices, I would go with the 300 WM. Lots of options.

    New Rifle decision

Remington 700 LR is hard to beat for the price, I bought one in 7mm and all I've done to it is install a Timney trigger and put a Vortex PST scope on it. Shoots great, figure I'll burn the stock barrel out and then replace.

    Berger HUNTING Bullets

Live in Alaska, I'll start out saying I haven't shot any big game animals with a Berger bullet. Now I will say I've loaded them in my 300 RUM custom Rifle and they shoot extremely nice on paper and steel. For me I stick with the trusty old 200 grain Accubond out of it for big game hunting. This...

Should I use magnum primers with IMR 7977

ShortMag Thanks for the reply, I'm currently shooting the 175 ABLR's in my 7mm with RL22 and it shoots great, I'm just having problems with the RL22 being temperature sensitive. And IMR is talking up IMR7977, so I was thinking of trying it out. Are most guys using the Nosler reloading for...

Should I use magnum primers with IMR 7977

Short mag , quick question what grain ABLR bullet are you shooting with your 7mm. I'm curious cause I'm shooting a 175 ABLR out of mine and it shoots great withRL22. But I'm thinking it might be to temperature sensitive up here in Alaska. And it's nice to have another option of powder on hand...

    alaskan hunt

Rain gear is a must, dress in layers and you should be fine. I would also bring a pistol( 44 or bigger).. Remember to have fun and enjoy the scenery!!!!! I don't remember seeing what caliber rifle your bringing up, but I would stick with a 30 caliber or bigger. Not a must, but if the grizzly or...

    2016 caribou/moose hunt help

Your 8mm Magnum will drop anything up here. Unless your wanting to buy a new rifle, then I would suggest 30 caliber and bigger.
