I agree with your statement. In my original post, I wasn't looking for the bullet that had the most knock down power, I am looking for a bullet that can retain it's energy through a shoulder shot, and continue into the Heart and Lungs, and out the other shoulder at short range without blowing up...

I love those XP's. That might be one of my next personal projects. I would think after hitting a shoulder, the bullet would expand pretty rapidly. Although it is good to see that it didn't blow up upon impact at that high of velocity.

Yes I have read that thread, a couple times actually. You won't hear me argue that Berger's do some pretty impressive damage to vitals. What I don't like about those bullets though, is what happens when you hit a shoulder at Close Range. At longer distances when the bullet has lost velocity...

So they must shoot close enough you don't notice a difference, or you have your gun zeroed for the Amax? This might be what route I choose. I absolutely love the partition. That is until any amount of wind kicks up and the shot is over 400 yards ;)

I have heard similar reports on the Accubonds, but on smaller calibers. I would have thought a 200 grain Accubond would break through a shoulder. I think I'll just have to try the LRAB and see for myself. Carson
