    Bear protection handguns?

425, but still impressive. Never seen that at the county fair. Well done! If not for the Pepsi cans I thought maybe that was in Dagastan or otherstan. 😂

    Scope recommendations for Prairie Dogs

Arken LH4 are 25% off right now on their site. An FFP scope would be preferable if you want to hold over more than dial and there are high mag ranges plus two pretty good reticle options depending on your preference. I don’t have one so take it as just a recommendation but for your price target...

    Scope recommendations for Prairie Dogs

.223 is pretty flat at 350 still but you may want to stretch that range eventually. I’d recommend a 5-30 FFP optic if the weight and size aren’t an issue for your rig.

    Bear protection handguns?

The take away from the iron sight vs red dot debate is that you need to practice. I shoot pistols a lot. I feel that if you pick up a gun that you aren’t used to and have a consistent grip fro then it’s an advantage to have irons with a bright front sight to pick up as you bring it up. You can...

    ARCA Rail

A rail is a more solid connection for a tripod but I wouldn’t want an ARCA rail out front. That’s a good place for a bipod. You seem hesitant to drill the stock and are undetermined on the tripod so you may consider just getting a tripod with a rifle clamp. Fits anything and unless you’re...

    Suppressor help

Is it off center or off angle to the bore? A can is longer than your brake I assume so off angle might give you a baffle strike. Off center but parallel might clear. If you could spin the barrel maybe you could measure runout on the can when it’s screwed on?

WTH? Canada regulates how powerful your rifle can be? How’s that work? Just off potential of the cartridge or do the Mounties have a portable ballistics lab to test your ammo if they see you have a rifle you can stick your pinky finger into?

    Polar bear defensive handgun

Doesn’t sound like the best gig but I like the choice of weapon. A high capacity auto 12 is formidable. I’ll never forget seeing the 10-11 foot polar bear standing up at the St. Paul science museum when I was a kid. Man that’s a big bear to deal with!
