    Pressure issues reloading for Christensen

    Have the same rifle as the OP and experienced same pressure issues w/HSM factory ammo and loads done w/H5831sc. Worked up a load w/RL23 and Berger 140 VLD Hunters, seated at the lands. Getting 2950’ish with lower SD using Fed210M and Lapua brass.

    Found RL23 to be the best solution in my CA Ridgeline 6.5x284. Only powder that didn’t show pressure signs and hit the node (~2950) i was looking for. Run Lapua brass w/Fed 210M primers but going to give it a run w/S&B’s as well as CCI BR-2’s to see if that reduces the SD & ES.

    I run H4350 but a lot of folks are running RL16 and getting great results. I’ve used either CCI 200’s or Fed 210M’s.

    HS Precision has several stocks available for Savage actions as well as McMillian. As mentioned above, Magpul PRS And Luth-ar are nice as well.

    I could never get the speed (~2950) that I wanted until I switched to RL 23. Pretty popular round here so guessing a lot of folks with tons of experience will respond and give their experiences/thoughts. I’m running the 23 w/140 VLD Hunter.
