I have a 6.5 PRC and ULR. 6.5 will do it fantastically just depends on bullet and powder selection. Hunting is a different ballgame. A person has to research and make accurate selections. You’re spot on. Let the 6.5 work that’s what it was designed to do.

Has anyone ever loaded a 6.5 PRC with a 85gr bullet? If so pros and cons of such? Is this too light a bullet? I’ve heard a few that did some 85 Sierra but now discontinued. I have a box of 85gr .264 from Hammer in MT.
I think I’m going to. I picked up a Noreen a few days ago from a guy having money problems and it don’t have a scope on it yet. It’s a though before I throw out 1-2k on a scope.
