Cheers mate been doing plenty of hunting here and OS this yr, took 1 sambar with the Edge (meat modle) but saw a few velvet stags as well early on. Might give Geoff a call about a few benchmark barrels then. Thanks for the help and hope to see you boys down south this season.

Where is the bolt stop on the tikka t3's is it on the bolt or is it on the action? I have just ordered a 300wsm and i have not had a chance to have a look at it closely yet but i am curious to know where it is as i am replaceing the factory bottom plastic and magazine assembly with a new DB...

I have a 338 edge built on a mkv and have the NF rail on my gun. I have had absolutely no problems with it. My gun holds it zero fine.

Mate i would probably go the 190 gr vld, it is a good trade off between fps and weight specialy in a 300wsm were longer bullets can eat up case capacity when using a factory barrel and chamber.

Mate you can shoot at nearly all of them just have to stay under the 338 limit at Hornsby and malabar. Silverdale is your best bet I shoot my edge there but only out to 200m and lapua are band.

The only other thing I would suggest is to go a bit later as the skins are alot nicer later on in the season. We are looking at march april may. Also a bit easier to walk up the hills in the cool.

Yeh there is no probs taking ammo to nz from Aus just not sure about wildcat stuff but you should be fine with it. You can contact the Police at the International airport and they will fill you in on yes or no . It dose have to be stored in either a factory box or in an approved plastic storage...
