Thanks! Like I said, this was the first time I have shot 1000+ and honestly the only time seriously shooting at over 500. A couple weeks ago my wife and I shot a rock at 785. I'm hooked. I've shot at rocks at long ranges before but just holding over with my hunting rifles and not being serious...
Awesome! Gotta love those results. After readings this thread, I'm wanting to get my 270 Gibbs up and running! Thinking 150 Bergers would be entertaining! Need a new scope for it and to refinish the stock.
It's a little JVC Everio HDD camera. It's an awesome little camera but its a hard drive memory so it doesn't have a tape or disc to record on. Gives me a little trouble every time I upload videos on my laptop. For so e reason it saves the videos as .MOD files. Which I think is not compatible...
Thanks guys! It's a blast. I think the 338 kicks a little much for my wife and she complains that it stinks when you shoot! I just tell her that's 90gr of burnt heaven she is smelling! I have a feeling that when I get my 243 put together it won't be MY 243 anymore. She should have more fun...
It turned out to be alot nicer day than the weather man predicted so my wife, Dusti and I went out and did some more shooting with my 338 Edge. I ranged a rock at 1088 yards and the Shooter app on my phone said 28.3 so I dialed up 28.25. Hardly any wind to deal with and it was blowin straight...
No its not bad. we were just in Helena laS weekend visiting some friends. I enjoy the drive. Lots of animals to look at. I think I heard my pawpaw saying that he might be selling some of his horses soon if ya need more! Not sure which ones but he has some good riding horses that have spent time...
Thanks. I figured I would shoot at 200 yards at least and see how they do. What kind of groups do you guys usually call good enough for longer ranges? Obviously the smaller the better but say at 200 yards, would I be ok with a MOA group? Or is it just find a load that works at 200 and see how it...
I'd like to make one of these shoots. Probably one of the first two. Who knows, maybe both! I could use a lot of instruction with my 338 edge. Hopefully I'll have my 243 sorted out by then! I only a couple hours from Townsend and would love to meet ya'll!
I'm curious about how you guys work up loads for long range shooting. I'm in the process of setting up a 243 to play around with. I've got some test loads with 95gr VLDs and 105gr amax. Do you guys shoot them at 100 yards and if you get a good group, shoot the same load out farther to see how it...
After reading all of Broz's threads on his 300 win mag, I'm wanting one. I am thinking about maybe selling/trading my winchester 70 2008 limited edition 30-06. I bought it end of sept or early oct and sighted it in with 150gr federal blue box. Carried it a couple times and killed 3 deer with it...
I was wondering the same thing. I was playing with shooter on my phone and with data for my 338 edge, using the g1 it says come up 25.1 and the g7 says 21.1. Any help?
