I know it wasn't on a big magnum, but I just sent my vortex viper 6.5-20x50 back to them today. The elevation turret/knob came completely off. It did reside on a savage model 10 flcp-k (aka 24'' 308 with a brake) I guess we'll see how good the VIP warranty is.

The hornady match brass does have a crimped primer pocket I believe, I have had the same experience you are having. Just give a couple of quick turns with a chamfering tool and they should prime just fine.

backwoods do you anneal your brass or just shoot it till its bad?

im using winchester LR primers thought about trying some ccis. I am not a fan of federal anything after i had a ruptured primer due a loose pocket on the first loading after it was shot as a factory load.(all be that was in 7mm mag)

Dillon 550, you can run it as a single stage until you get your settings just how you want then you can go progressive with it. Its good for like 150+ calibers

I guess I should clarify I am shooting 7mm mag in federal cases this was on the third reload. Positive it's not pressure related, just can't wrap my head around losing the primer pocket so soon

Are magnum primers dimensionally bigger than regular rifle primers
