Has anybody used a newcon rangefinder for WY plains hunting. I've used a bushnell and a leica 1000 yard rangfinders and could only range to 600 yards. I have a interest in a newcon which nominally should range to 3000 yards. But will it range in the plains grass?

I too will be testing one soon and will start with H-1000, it works great in the edge at 92 grains with 300 grainMK

Does anybody have a load for a 80-85 grain pill as a 6mm-06?

The eye relief is what does it for me on the nightforce. That alone sells the scope over the lupy. The eye relief is always there on the NF the lupy is a surprise with every change of power.

Has any body tried the .25 caliber in a 300 RUM case? What kind of performance does it have with 100-110 grain pills?

I have a good mixture of different calibers including a 338 edge and can tell you that the 300 wheatherby with a 180 grain pill is my killer. Red mist everytime.

Yes I too developed a 250 grain soft point which would have done better but I have been having such a great time long range on paper with the 300 SMK. 6-8 groups at a thousand with no wind and good results at 1400 yds. I guess I'll just have to take out the shoulder next time.

I have been working up loads for my new 6mm-06 built by Accurate Rifle Works. 88 grain bullets @ 3640 and 5 shots under 1 moa. I am going to North Carolina to hunt deer will let you know how the Berger bullets do. This gun is a pleasure to shoot.
