    Thanks for the the comment on the Nitrofire. Been looking at those. That is the way I'm leaning.

    What part of central NC? I hunt a couple farms in Wendell and Zebulon. Wake and Johnston Counties.

    Hi, more towards Greensboro/High Point. I love the Nitrofire. Quick easy reloads. I'm shooting 120g stick and the 250g Thompson Shockwave. Sounds childish, but the fire sticks smoke about 15% compared to blackpowder. I love being able to see the deer react after the shot rather than a cloud of smoke.

    One that thing, you will need high scope rings so that the hammer clears the scope. Feel free to message me with any other questions. Buds guns and muzzle-loaders.com have a good deal on them currently.

    Thanks for the input. I got the nitro fire in A few days ago. I mounted a Zeiss V4 conquest in some nightforce ultralight highs. They worked perfectly. I went ahead and picked up the same bullets you were shooting so maybe I'll be ready when muzzleloader season rolls in here in NC! I'm in the western end of the state and ours is October 2–14.
