The rifle shoots very "well" as in recoil and how it feels. Feeding rounds is smooth, no ejection problems, tested both the 3 and 6 round mags. I wanted to run the Berger 156gr EOL but can't find any. It shoots the 147s well though, I've proven the loads out to 875yds (furthest) my range...

It's a older Savage model 112 l BVSS , 1:10 heavy fluted stainless 26" barrel.

I've never run the 190gr SMK but my Savage 112 in 300WM loves the Berger 210 VLD. Run them just under 3000fps. Held sub MOA out to 1600yds.

Here is my Savage 12 LRP 260 rem shooting Hornady 147gr ELD, Virgin Lspua brass, Fed 210M, H4350.

I have done it a bunch now. I anneal the brass shim so it forms to the shape of the receiver before I add devcon / JB WELD. I use shoe polish as a release agent. I've done this a bunch. Works well, especially when you need ALOT of elevation.

113yds with my Browning Western Hunter 300prc. I don't have my notes in front of me but pretty sure that's Retumbo, Fed215m. I can update tonight. I have more loads to test but ran out of time. I'd like a little more velocity but don't have RL26 or VV N565.

Little late, I should have stated, test @ zero offsets. Then perform the tall target test. I also "shim" my rails with brass then fill in with devcon. This maybe out side of most comfort zones but works very well plus you "bed" the rail @ the same time.

Get the Burris XTR rings, run -20 on the front and +20 on the rear. I dial my scope all the way down. Hang 50" of paper, shoot at the top. Measure impacts. I do this at 100yds. The will give you how much you need to add in the rings. I run this on 6 rifles.

For reference my custom 31" barrel shoots the Hornady factory loaded 225gr ELD match about 140fps faster than my Browning western hunter in 26". Also, I have not run the 230gr or N570 in the browning So use the following data at your discretion. I have found that my Browning pressures up...

My only complaint with my Stac 4 x 20, is that the FOV seems a little narrower. I do really like the scope though. I own two s3 8 x 32s, one s5 10 x 50 , one s8 5 x 40. Amazing scopes. I personally have not found a better scope brand for the $$$. Very happy with them all.
