Yes I reload. I don’t shoot much factory ammo at all. I’m a hunter at heart so being able to hunt with it is a great option, the long range game is the real reason for the barrel and caliber change.

I’m looking to push the savage striker to 1000 yards or further. I pulled a 7-08 barrel off of it to go to a 358 win. Me and my buddy want to mess around out to 1000 yards or more. Any suggestions on barrel length and bullet weight and loads.

it is a necked up 308 win with a blown out,improved shoulder. the velocities are impressive and it seems like it will be a medium to long range thumper. dave
