collet fits only one way... use Imperial Sizing Die Wax as suggested by Larry Willis... There's a video on a CD when you buy one, with all the instructions included.... Never has the die given me problems with 338 Win.... Works very well...

slip a 0.002" feeler gauge between the case and shell holder, then try using your body die again.... increase feeler thickness until desired shoulder bump.....

I just got back from the country a couple hours ago, I was shooting this exact combination.. I was finishing load development... 7mm-08, 120 gr TTSX, RL16, WLRP, Rem brass... 44.9 gr - 47.7 gr in 0.4 gr increments... did not reach pressure signs... best group (3 shot) was at 46.1 gr...

I now agree.... But OP mentioned reloading for 30 years, same technique, (new brass can require adjustments to one's process). An improperly installed die hadn't even crossed my mind at first.... A straight edge along the side of the case, pointed into daylight, often reveals the crushed...

proud primer.... or.... cases need careful deburr AND chamfer.... (bullet, when seating, could be pushing brass to the outside of the case where it drags on the neck of the chamber.....

I'm missing something, I know it.... how does the case grow from base to shoulder from seating a bullet?.... can anyone please help me understand this?

Regarding The Larry Willis, IT Headspace Gauge: Dedicate one case for each caliber as your "standard"... your "standard" for each caliber is sized exactly as you would have sized all other brass for that caliber... mark, put standards away safe where they won't be consumed... when you want to...

Stay away from Redding 2400...Consistency with their collet design is an exercise in futility... Certainly is, for myself....

I'm pondering a new big game rifle... The Sako 85 Kodiak suits my needs nearly perfectly.... My question is, can the iron sights be removed easily if required, and could they be replaced if necessary? (without messing up the rifle)... The iron sights might not be something I'll want...
