I have decided to built a long range varmint/deer gun in this caliber. It will be on rem. 700 action, Hs stock and a hart 29" mag 1000 barrel. I am planning on shooting 140 a-max or 142 smk. This is my first wildcat , any help on loads or where the best place to get my dies from would be great.

thanks for the replies. The gun would mainly be used for long range ground hogs and maybe deer. I have a custom 300wm that I use now for my long range varmint rifle. I was wanting a little smaller cal. with better ballistics.

I`m new here. I`m wanting to build a 6.5 on a magnum action. Remmington 700 action , 28-30 inch barrel, and Hs stock. Would a 300wm necked down to 6.5 work? I Was thinking 6/284 to start with but ran across a Sendero at a real deal.

jake, is the sendero still for sell.I`m looking for this type gun for a upcoming project.
