I'm currentlly shooting 94.5grs of RL25 with the 150 scirocco out of my fac sendero 7rum. Any guesese on approx. MV.
There is no signs of excessive presures and was wondering how much of a differance it would be movin up to a 160 gr bullet. when workin up scirroco load groups didn't start...
JE, I'm lookin for a 7rum load using the 160 AB. Started to start another thread but it seen to fit here. I have a fac sendero that is very accurate. Lookin for a long range whitetail rifle. Long range to me ( for hunting) is the 700 to 800 yd range. I have had good luck with the AB and also...
My 300rum sendero likes the 200AB over 92.5 gr RL25. OAL is all my mag. box will allow. This round will shoot about 1 1/4'' groups at 300yrds on a good day.
And before ya ask about 3'' at 300 on a BAD DAY. This round sighted in at 300 is about 7'' low at 400 and 18-20'' low at 500.
92.5 RL 25 & 200AB out of my fac. Sendero shoots consistantlly under 2'' at 300 with several targets at 1 1/4'' at 300. Worked very well on the Elk too.
Thought I would have gotten more responces on this. Is there a link to a compiled list of loads for the 7mm rum and the 168vld's with the info I'm after (powder, MV, etc.)
Need all the load info ya'll have. Including powder, MV, accuracy, etc.
Also for those who have hunted with this bullet, what is the meat damage.
Thanks,DM
Has anyone used these for actual hunting and what kind of performance did you get. Have a 7rum I was going to load up for long range shooting/hunting. I have the 150 sciroccos loaded for it now but just got a new CDL SS in the 7mag that I want to shoot the 150 scirocco in. My 7rum is a sendero...
Have shot several WT deer with the 270wsm using both the BT and the AB.(south/east deer). I prefer the AB performance over the BT. All the deer I have shot with the AB were passthrus with normal entry and 1 1/2- 21/2 exit wound. May have to track an extra 20yrds, but it won't be no trouble...
Well 92.5 went the wrong way for me. Guess I will have to stay with the 92gr. load or switch powders. Will stay where I'm out for now until temps go down. I normally get a lot better groups when it's not 80%. If that 7/8'' groups comes in any at all I believe I can live with it for elk hunting.
