Greyfox---it's a good point. I don't reload and I'm assuming with the bullet weight the Matrix is a longer bullet. I just bought a box of Barnes triple shock and while Only 140 it looks to be a longer bullet. It will be a few weeks but I'm curious how it will shoot.

Got this caliber in A7 Sako before last season and decorated it with a Conquest. Still playing with commercial loads, distances, etc. Fun to shoot. Got the gun for the same reasons discussed in the article.

You've come to the right place for answers. The folks here are hands on experts so I'll leave it to one of them to give you the answer. I'm a hunter first and shooter second. If you are looking at zeiss for a longer range hunting scope you should take a look too at the rapid z scopes.

Wvguns---like you I live near the facility---im in Winchester. I want it to work. I've been there frequently for sporting clays and their classes look good. I'm not quite committed with the program. Are there alternative places to shoot at 500-600 near us? Thx

I have a Vinci and my son has a SBEii. I prefer the balance and fit of the Vinci. Both have performed without a hitch.

Two things mentioned which were certainties---you can make anything taste good if its jerky or chile. But, I for one like goose and my neighbors clamor for it. I found that with any game, it can't be over cooked. Goose though is best rare. My wife or I will sear the meat with coarse...

I use a Benelli Montefeltro 20, 26". Very light---which as I get older is becoming important. I use a cyl choke. I use the same gun for phezz and change up chokes and shot size.

I'm giving it another year. Will be there tomorrow for a charity shoot. I see alot of upside potential and it's close by.....but the criticisms see justified.

You're a good son. I picked up a Sako A7 270wsm last year. Love the caliber for the reasons stated by winmag.
