oh man nice job on the new rifle. i also have that exact gun. shoots great. the peeling of the stock is bogus i sent mine back for replacement and the new one still was peeling so i rubbed it all off. other then that its been great. so just go and see how it shoots before dumping a lot money...

i also love my .243 and shoot the 105 amax. ive been using 49.5 of retumbo and it shoots awesome. 3100fps with that. extremely accurate

7mm mag all the way. great caliber and the recoil isnt as bad. but all those calibers are good choices

amax gets the job done again easily. deer going down with 1 shot drt. 6.5-284 just awesome

oh ya i love this set up. im shooting .243 win win brass 49.5 gr of retumbo 105 amax .oo5 from rifling running at 3075 fps. it is on the hot side but my rifle loves it. i have killed 3 deer 2 antelope 1 elk and a few coyotes with this load alone

well i have one in 6.5-284 and doesnt shoot .25 groups but still shoots well. i also had one in 300 wm and it would shot around .5 .75 groups. i think that they are great rifles and would recommend them to anyone looking for a otc long range gun

yea i would like to see what people think of useing amax for hunting. they are accurate as any bullet that i have shot with great bc. 140 6.5 162 7mm even 105 243. just looking for opinions. thanks

yes i have a savage long range hunter it is in 6.5-284. the gun is sweet to shoot. dosent seem to have the accuracy i was hoping for. gets about .75 at 100 yds sometimes better sometimes worse. the velocities arent that good in this cal 2950fps is pushing it. but the gun feels great and...
