    300RUM DBM

Kirby, the BDL floorplate and magazine fit without a problem. Do you know if the Remington DM assembly will fit as well? Out of Brownelle's it is half the price of the HS precision magazine. Thanks...gjszabo

    300RUM DBM

Does anyone have experience with converting a 700BDL in 300RUM to a detachable box magazine? I purchased a used HS Precision DBM stock and cringe at spending another $220 for the magazine. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks...gjszabo

    great tripod

I bought one of these tripods a year ago. It is, without a doubt, the best lightweight tripod on the market. I have a pair of Leica 10 x 50 Ultavids and a Zeiss 65 T FL spotting scope that can swap out on this baby in lass than 15 seconds. If you like to pack your optics, this is the tripod of...

great load for the .300 RUM

The BC of the 180gr TSX is 552 and according to my ballistic software, a 200gr boatail is 589. Ultimatly it will have better performance. Unfortunatly, I have not run extensive testing, as you have. I personally shoot the tsx and have had exceptional accuracy out to 550 yards. My comparisons...

great load for the .300 RUM

The 200gr accubond launched at 3140 fps will catch the 180gr tsx (3275fps) at about the 200 yd range. However at 600 yds it will clock about 50fps faster and carry 350 more ft lbs of energy. The 180 tsx will carry 2330 ft lbs at that distance, so it's hard to see the serious disadvantage. I see...

    Nikon Field Scope

I am looking at buying a higher end spotting scope, and was hoping someone would have some feedback on the Nikon Tactical Fieldscope. How does it compare optically to Zeiss or Swarovski? Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks...gjszabo

    Reasonable Accuracy

Dave, thanks for the quick response. The rifle hase been bedded and floated, as well as a jewel trigger. I have stayed within the 6 to 9 inch range over three sessions. This morning I held a 6.75in 5 shot group at 550 yds. My hunch is, I need to keep practicing. The opportunities for this fall...

    Reasonable Accuracy

I have developed a load for my 300 RUM. The load consists of 180gr Barnes TSX, 92 grains of RL-25 and Fed 215 primers. The chronographed velocity runs from 3289 to 3311. One hundred yd accuracy is sub 1 inch groups, however at 500 hundred meters (550 yds), I range between 6 and 9 inch groups...
