Trying to steer clear of a round that is "Improved"... I am not a guy that has lots of time to burn so I'd like to keep my reloading as simple as possible and of course inexpensive as possible... Thank You for the input!!

Please tell me more about the Norma... I have never chatted with someone that had one... I have narrowed it down to Lapua or Norma.... but I have read that Norma will push a 300 gr bullet slightly better than a Lapua? Splitting hairs I know... but curious... and how do the bullets you use...

I read that the .338 Norma Mag falls between the Lapua and Edge?? and will out perform the Lapua pushing a 300 gr bullet but can't find any stats to prove that... not sure where to look?

Shedding antlers Out West the elk are shedding their antlers and that makes for a good opportunity to see what bulls made it though last seasons hunts as well and get some much needed exercise. I love this time of year!:D

ts, I am loading 82 gr. IMR 7828 with the 168 VLD out of my 300 weatherby mag. and am geting a tad better than 3250 fps at the muzzle. And I can tell you that it is plenty of speed and bullet on elk... so far.:D CnS
