    Right Out Of The Box----

Trickymisfit? How does Nissan fit into that? I ask for one because I drive a Nissan Juke and granted it doesn't have a regular transmission, two because I was interested and you didn't mention it. Assuming you have looked at something from the brand, they have been making a few waves with a...

Pleasant surprise with Remington 700-M40 Sniper Rifle

That gun was not built to sit in a safe waiting on someone to allow it to rot away. Think of this. If you keep it forever, are your grandkids really going to know it's significance, if they do are they going to look at it or will they either shoot it or sell it. It is a .308, LOTS of barrel...

Your Longest Archery Big Game Kill

This is the first time in quite a while I have looked at the Archery page. My longest Kill shot on a deer was 67 yards with an Oregon Black Knight (the original Black Knight) in 1996. It is one amazing bow, but difficult to shoot. My velocity was over 300 FPS and I had been practicing for...

    Right Out Of The Box----

Joking to some extent by the way. I owned a 700 short action that was built just like a sendero I bought new in 91 or 92 and that was indeed an amazing rifle I wish I had never parted with.

    Right Out Of The Box----

I shoot a Savage and drive a Nissan. Savage is fun to shoot just like it is, average group is between .4 and .6" with the bullet I chose, first group was .5" as close to exact as my eyes and caliper can measure, and my Nissan is a BLAST to drive, but much smaller than an F250, faster too...

    Savage 6.5x284

You won't be able to maximize your velocity with only a 24 inch barrel, but It will most likely be extremely accurate.

    Need help identifying these cartridges.

Had time for further inspection on the measurement and vis comparison chart. I STILL say the second is a BRX. Too fat and too little taper for a PPC. I will buy that the 4.6x30 is that. and my first instinct was that the third was a 6.5x55. did they show a picture of the case head markings?

Well had I gotten the first one right I would have been right on the third. I knew that 6.5x55 looked like a 6.5x55 but the 6.5x50 has about the same angles. that 22 PPC didn't seem to have enough body taper in the picture for a PPC. When I looked at the dimensions of a PPC against a BR or...

    Savage 338 Lapua LRH

My 6.5-284 will do pretty much anything I could do with a 300 win mag with less powder and less recoil. I had one and got rid of it because I had no more use for it. I want a 338 Lapua because of the big massive cool looking brake on the end of the barrel. I could give you a thousand uses I...

    Savage 338 Lapua LRH

I am wanting a big 338 just because. Other than just shooting I really have no need for it, but they look cool and are big enough to leave me as the only real limitation. I am too poor to build a custom AND put good glass on it. I have a 6.5-284 111 LRH and it is the most accurate sporter...

need load data for 300wsm and 6.5x55 with RL22

Speer lists 46-50 with 120 grain bullets and 45-48 with 140, both flat based bullets. You will most likely see some great velocity gains with RL22 with your longer barrel. It has always been a good choice that most say is too slow for the cartridge. In my short barreled Steyr I use 47 grains...

need load data for 300wsm and 6.5x55 with RL22

From the Sierra Manual, for 140-142 grain bullets 37.7-45.7 grains RL22 for 6.5x55. My manual is not new enough to have the 130 but from experience with other 130 grain class bullets (Hornady and Berger) one have a long and the other having a slightly shorter bearing surface that the Sierra...

I looked and I stand corrected. it is very close to the dasher though. The one listed is still a BRX in my opinion.

I think the BR-DX is the Dasher. I was thinking DX stood short for Dasher improved.
