thanks for the response backwoods, i was beginning to feel like the red headed step child. i was thinking 7mm because i have one and already have dies etc but everyone has great things to say about the 6.5 x 284 so it would probably be worth the investment. i see on this sight everybody seems to be selling there nikons so i am hesitant but the ones i have used worked great thanks again

Hey bud I will give you a little insight since no one seems to wanna answer you. The 111 LRH in 7mm mag or 6.5x284 with a good 1 piece 20moa base, tactical rings and the 8-32x50 nikon with nikoplex retical is a good combo to a 1000 yrds when loaded right. Personally I'd go with the 6.5x284 with 140 berger vlds at around 3100fps that will serve you well.
