This gun is unusually fast from what I understand. I was using win brass and 52gr of RL17 and was getting 3140 on Sierra 175s and 2985 with 180 Bergers from a 25 inch barrel, but brass life was poor. I think the brass was bad though because I had the same results from win brass in 25-06 and 220 swift bought at the same time with old proven loads. I now shoot 51.4 grains RL17 behind 180s in resized Lapua 6.5-284 brass. Just on second loading but seems to be good. I haven't chronoed this load yet but no signs of pressure and accuracy is 1/3 moa. Five shots under 2 inches at 500yds is normal. You might start at 50 1/2 grains and work up, RL 17 is a different creature. I seems good and then all of a sudden your'e blowing primers.
