It does not build up, maybe you cleaning techniques and product aren't cleaning the layer of carbon and copper well. I use a bore scope all the time and the Lubalox in my 06 is not building up and it is not hard to clean, like I said it is not moly which does build up.

It does not build up like moly and become hard to clean, it is not moly, great bullet, cleans easy, shoots great and the 180gr in my 30-06 has been very affective on game.

I found standard rounds of Winchester brass to open up the primer pockets after the first and for sure the second firing if my accurate load ended up any where near a max book published load.
