As others have recommended, the only thing on your price range that is recommended us swfa. If you can afford to save a little more I’d get a used nightforce. I have a hard time trusting anything vortex, as everything I’ve owned from them has eventually broken with mild use.

Ive been shooting a Christensen arms Ridgeline, I love it, easy half Moa with quality factory hunting ammo. Some buddies have the mesa line and the ones I have shot have been great shooters too, lightweight accurate rifles that come in significantly more affordable than a custom build.

Hey Sir, Thank you for the recommendations, I am worried about staying within the budget with a custom build as well. And 1500 is the max I can spend on the rifle. the rifle won't be used for any kind of match shooting, but I sure do prefer sub Moa rifles.

yeah pretty much lol, thats why im hoping to get 3 good loads worked up before then, so come hunting season i need to do minimal adjustments. loaded up some 175smk, some 165 partitions and some 180 interbond bthp, so we shall see how they fly, so far this rifle has been putting factory ammo well...
