I am wondering if anyone has experience shooting the 180 gr ballistic tips on game, particularly deer. And if anyone could share their load with me, that would be great!
I've got a stock Sendero and am currently shooting barnes ttsx but I've got a few hundred ballistic tips laying around that...
Barnes bullets hands down. I dropped an elk in its tracks with my 25-06 at 408 yards using the barnes tsx bullet. The ttsx bullet is a great bullet also with a higher bc for shooting at longer ranges.
Yes the 25-06 is a great long range deer rifle. I shot an elk with mine at 408 yards using the 100 grain barnes tsx bullet. I highly reccomend this bullet.
25-06 is the way to go for sure. I hunted elk with mine last year and dropped a 5x5 at 510 yards in its tracks. I absolutely love the caliber and i also load my own.
