i agree with everyone about the layering, as far as patterns? I would argue that the multicam pattern is the best out there right now. I've used it in WI, NC, Iraq and Afghanistan and it plain works everywhere. Not to dark and not to cluttered which tends to be the issue with most patterns

Hey guys, I'm new to this whole long range thing. I just purchased the savage 111 LRH in 300 win. What would you guys recommend for bases and rings for a Vortex Viper 3.5-10x50. Currently I have a weaver base and Vortex tactical rings. Would you guys change or stick with them.

I've got three vortex vipers and they are amazing for the money. Zero regrets and the warranty is unreal.
