    Nightforce MOAR reticle

I'm currently looking into scopes to mount on my 300 Norma. Does any have the new 2012 MOAR reticle and have they used it past 1000 meters? I'm looking to pick-up a 5.5-22x56 NSX and would appreciate anyones input on this reticle.

Starting to put together the build list. Input appreciated.

Thanks Roy, I take it you've still got your 270 AM. What kind of reloading costs are you dealing with. I've got a z-hat custom seater that will work for anything south of a 7mm. How much extra were your forming dies? Did you go through Kirby or an alternate route? As far as wind goes...

Starting to put together the build list. Input appreciated.

Long time no see gentleman, The gears are turning and the safe needs a long-range rifle. This is what I have in mind. GA precision for the manufacturer. Surgeon XL action. McMillan A4/A5 (probably end up going with a forest green/black/tan marble finish). I'd prefer a lilja barrel (based...

    338 Federal, Kimber, a 400 yard gun?

My little brother has reached the age where he has outgrown his 260. He's pretty much a one gun shooter and is looking for a cartridge/gun combo to cover his yearly excursions to the northwoods for whitetails, with the ability to cover his needs on a trip for moose or elk. He's self limited...

Are the Accubonds more accurate than the Ballistic tip?

I've loaded and shot both out of my 7mm Remington Mag. 150 grain for the Ballistic Tip and 160 grain for the Accubond. I have shot two deer with the ballistic tip (35 yards and 100) and two with the accubond (20 yards and 100). At these close ranges, performance was really a non-issue, all...

    Weatherby rifles and cartridges

Oh goodness, I can't believe this thread is still going...**** near 3 years and looking at the safe, no Weatherby. Funny thing is, I completely forgot about this thread and ended up building a semi-custom Remington, in a 7mm BR no less. Oh well, thank you for all the good intentions and...

    8mm Rem. Mag.

My brother has an 8mm Rem bumped out to a 338. Great velocity and accurate to boot. The downfall of the 8mm Rem could probably be attributed to bullet selection/metric stigma with US shooters. We'll see how the 325 WSM fares, more popularity=better bullets.

    SOLD/EXPIRED WTS...maybe

Hi all, In the up coming months I'll probably be having to reduce my gun collection. Right now I'm looking for some ball park prices for what I've got. I'd be willing to part with my custom 6.5-284 for about 1400 dollars (McMillan HV stock, tuned and trued M70 pushfeed, Leilja barrel and...

    Leupold 3-9 x 40 Rifle Scope

a little expensive for a shotgun, I would just spend 70-80 bucks on a buschnell "shotgun" scope, and call it a day. Otherwise I think the leopold is a perfectly acceptable scope, I have a few, just would never but them on my slug gun.

    180gr bergers+7 BR=?

Yeah, I was thinking about that, but order already made and shipped... I'll give them a wirl. If they don't fly, they don't fly, but I'll definately give the 168's a try.

    180gr bergers+7 BR=?

Thanks Kirby, I think I'm just going to start out with some mild 175gr loads, and work from there. If all else fails, I have a 7 mag that will take'm.
