Wow..this is an old message that I never read. Your velocity is low and that RL25 load seems mild. I'm guessing you have a slight sharp edge or burr on your plunger ejector hole on your bolt (which is how the model 700 flips the case out of the action when you cycle the bolt). just for kicks I loaded the 180 hdy sst with 96 gr RL25 and got 3410 fps with no ejector marks. A .25 group at 100 in a stock bdl 700--not bad. I don't use that bullet but was just using it as an example. I can get over 3300 with any 180 gr bullet without issue usually. A good gunsmith can uniform that plunger ejector for you fairly cheap I would think.
