As it says has anyone used a swarovski scope with the outdoorsmans turret mod? Seems like a much better option than the swaro turret. If youve used them were the adjustments repeatable? I'm trying to decide between the swaro z5 5-25x52, zeiss hd5 5-25 or the leica 3.5-14. Im guessing the glass is close so repeatable adjustments are the next most important criteria. Thanks

I wouldn't say that the ballistic collet is better than the way the system comes. It's just different.
The way the scope comes, you can choose your zero, and set references in any yardage increment you want.
The ballistic collet I believe is limited to your zero and then 50 yard increments there after (at least that's how mine are. I don't remember having the choice).
As for the repeatability of the turrets, I haven't had an issue running between 0-700. If anything, IMHO the Swaro has more support behind the product (in the form of intuitive ballistic calculators), followed by Zeiss (their new calculator is much better than the old but still not as good as the Swaro IMO), with Leica a very distant third.

200 yard zero on a 300 win. Yes you get three range settings using the scope the way that it comes from Swaro, but you get to choose those settings.

The original Balistic cap has three coloured indicators so you can preset 3 yardages. The cap has hash marks around the rest of the cap indicating clicks but they have no numerical value. While I was waiting for the custom cap to arrive I marked the moa around the original cap with a marker pen.( a bit rough but it cleans up with a little hoppes 9)

On a .243ai shooting a 105vld. With a 150 yard zero the one rotation 13moa gets me 700 yds. By using the top of the bottom post in the reticle I can gain an extra 10.25 moa. Clicks are not as positive as the top end tac scopes but they are very usable And have proven repeatable and reliable.

I'v had the scope for a year ish. Dialing is my prefered option more so as the range increases and I have a March 2.5-25 on the bigger rifle but I have had ballistic reticles in the past and still have one on my .222. I find them very usable as long as you accept the actual range the holdover mark relates to instead of trying to get them all to neatly match the hundreds yds.
