I cannot get my pics to upload . The Head Stamp says this .308W and the number 82 . Do you know what Brand this is ? It has a Red color around the primer . What is the red material on the edge of the primer for ?Thanks for the help

Whatever it is, it's Military Brass. The red is primer sealer. It's used on Military brass. Need a picture of the case head.

My phone has pooped out on me so I cannot transfer my photos . Sorry.
Do you think it is crimped brass ? It looks reloadable . I just came into several hundred :) Trying not to get excited until know I can use them...... It has 2 little circles in the head stamp on each side of the primer.
Thanks for the reply and advice.

Those "circles" should have a cross inside them. It should be NATO ammo, although I don't know about the 308 stamp. Military designation is 7.62x51. Can't tell you where it was made, not in the loop on that. It should be good to shoot, and obviously cheap. :)

Whatever, if it's NATO (North Atlantic Treaty Organization) it will be crimped in primer so you'll have to remove the crimp no matter what. Dillon makes a dandy crimp remover for a hunderd bucks and RCBS makes a crimp remover tool for hand use about 15 bucks. I chuck 'em in a larhe with a turret tailstock and use a countersink.

Lors of different makers of Mil brass.
