Hey guys. I was wondering in your opinions what the best DBM bottom metal out there is for a Remington 700 long action? I was looking at the M-5 stealth with extended mag well opening from PT&G and the Seekins Precision. Are there any others? Personal experience is a big plus. Thanks guys and have a great day.

I kind of asked the same question yesterday, but specifically for the 300 RUM.
I have the Wyatts dbm on my 6.5.
It fits fine, but the mag is kind of loose and you have to hold the bottom of it as you charge a round or it won't engage.
So, good and bad I guess on the Wyatts. Next time I think I will just bite the bullet and get Badger.

What are you going to be running out of it?

.338 Win Mag with a C.O.A.L. of 3.6". Was gonna use Lapua mags if .300 win mag magazine doesn't accept that overall length. I'm shooting cutting edge bullets D62 225gr. solid copper MTH bullet.

I had the same problem on my .308, I put the shims in cause the bolts were to long and the directions said to, so after a year Im ready to go ballistic, I called him up, explained my problem, he said take the shims out and cut the bolts, works great now, still have a little rattle! Try giving him a call and explain your problem to him, he might be able to figure it out.

Seekins Precision all day every day... if you can find them in stock!

I just happen to have one sitting on the shelf right now that is looking for a home... :D

Seriously though, the ambi mag release is out of the way yet super natural to find and release. Glen's stuff is top of the line and you won't find better anywhere. Let me know if I can help you out or just check 'em out at my website in my signature line!
