hey guys i know the 7mm ultra mag isnt a very popular item on here and i havent ever really been interested in getting one but i ran across a deal on a new 700 xcr stainless that was too good to pass up so i got it.

i was planning on using 140 - 150 grain bullets in the barnes tsx, nos partition or the hornady line.

im just going to set this up as a light weight hunting gun with a 4.5X14x50 luepold on it and prob wont ever shoot it out past 500 yds so thats why i wasnt going to use the heavier & higher .bc bullets in it.

anybody have any helpful info they would be willing to share?

I would recomend the 160 or 162 grain bullets Still light enough for some scorching velocities
but with good BCs.

The big case seems to do better with these bullets because of powder capacity and doesn't give
up much velocity/trajectory.

With the 150+ grain bullets the 7 Rum is well capable of 1000 yard kills.
