Difference between Beretta A390 and A391

The 390 is the older one. The 391 replaced the 390. The main differance is in gas piston. As far as price goes they can vary greatly depending on which one you get. Example standard or sporting clays model. Wood or plastic stock. As far as I know the 390 is no longer made. Hope this helps. Dan

The 390 was replaced by the 3901. That's their new "economy" model. Haven't read a bad review, though. Some even prefer the 3901 for the feel and ease of cleaning.

I have owned and since traded a 390 trap gun, it was highly customized. Roughly a 2k+ dollar gun. My dad recently purchased a 391 urika sporting model for shooting sporting clays/skeet. They both were great guns that shot and functioned well. My dads gun was bought used with the original case and all accesories for a grand.

What is it about the new one you don't like ? Will the 390 handle 2 3/4 trap all the way up to heavy 3" Magnum loads ?.............. Are you still an Iron Worker ?

It feels cheep. the wood is not as nice. It will handle any load all the way to 3" It has spacers to adjust the stock hight
.

I'm still an Ironworker yes but work got bad here so I went back to school and that what I am doing now paid my dues and said see ya when I see ya. I here work there sucks! Dads buddys some is a crane operator out there in SF and he has not worked in 2+ years so he moved back here.

When work picture finally dried up for me. I had enough pension credits to pull the pin. So now i'm a retired Iron worker who now lives in a gun friendly state.I plan to return to school and start a 2nd career just not sure what.
