Skb gun case

Dont really know what forum to put this in.
I leave for centrel utah deer 10-16.
I have an skb double rifle gun case with the tsa locks built in.
I see on Delta's web site that tsa locks are not approved for firearms.
Last year when we went my buddy used this case with no problems.
I used a differant case but used tsa locks with no problems.
Has anyone had any problems using this case.
I can use my old case but I like the skb better.( holds more Play stuff )

I have not flown Delta, but have flown with other carriers a couple of times and shipped guns in my SKB with NO problems. I would call Delta, or just show up with the case when you fly. TSA sets the majority of the regs for these kinds of things, not Delta. Good Luck.

Isn't there a place to put a padlock on it? If there is, do that and call it good. If not, get another case. I don't want TSA being able to open my case after it leaves my sight. It's not legal for them to, and they have no reason to.

I thought about calling delta but did not want to get put on hold & listen to elavator music for an hour but I guess I will.

The case doesen't have a hasp on it. It will be bad that I paid over $200 and have not even used it.

I don't understand why you would even entertain the idea of using a firearm case with only TSA locks. You've read on 2 websites that they're unauthorized, and even beyond the regs, why would you want every Joe "Unquestionable Integrity" Blow TSA agent between your home, destination, and back to have full access to your firearms? It's one thing if you get to where you're going and they've permanently borrowed your khakis with their TSA God key. It's, at least to me, a whole other ballgame if you get there and your rifle case is empty.

Just went to skb web site and got an answer/solution.

If tsa wants in they will get in no matter what lock you have on it.
Locks only keep honest folks honest.
