10mm handgun

Glock 29sf gen 3. Can be found almost anywhere for a good price. I dont worry about buying used glocks. $15 wood burning kit found in the plumbing section at your local hardware store. Use the pointy bit that comes with the kit, start making dots, boom, grip issue solved. Don't like the finger grooves? Grind them off. The glock pistol is the chicken of the gun world. It can be adapted for all manner of taste. If it doesn't fit your hand I firmly believe it is because you do not understand how to shoot a pistol properly and were likely introduced to the discipline by folks who shot bowling pins with a 38 special with one hand on their nuts and no emphasis placed on getting back on target quickly to efficiently deliver accurate follow up shots. Millions of law enforcement and military personnel don't successfully employ glock pistols every single day in spite of it "not fitting their hands,"

Gen 5 G20 or X-Ten would be my vote if you want a polymer frame.
Tangfoglio Stock III (CZ clone) if you want heavy metal thunder.

I derail every chance I get. This thread has gone on for how long? And how many just like it ? Boring. Use what you brought. 3/4 of the posters will never need a handgun for bear. Checking out of this thread. Goodnight Todd. 😉

Nite Partner…..Sweet Dreams! 🤣 memtb

Last years. Thank you brother. Going nite nite now. And you should be too. 😉❤️

I've never seen the movie, but wasn't the movie Broke Back Mountain based on two guys in Wyoming?

Aren't both of you in Wyoming? :)

Some long threads take care of themselves. This one ran the course and out of track. After 20+ pages of 10mm opinions, I think the OP got his fill and am surprised it didn't derail sooner. I don't mind the mix of stories and sidetracks, they help end a thread that is done. As for the Wyoming comment, I'll just say man in glass house shouldn't cast stones. I'd leave MN for Wyoming so fast there would be a vapor trail if it wasn't for work and getting the wife away from family!

Sir,
Having spent 26 years of my life in law enforcement, as a street cop and detective who has been a firearms instructor since 1991, including one of the instructors who taught SWAT officers and members of the military in Urban Combat, I strongly take issue with your assessment.
There are many people whose hand shape, particularly those with short palms, who cannot instinctively grasp a certain type of handgun grip and shoot it accurately.
The Browning HiPower and the Glock are two examples that some people have difficulty with because of the squarish grip cross-section.
When Glock came out with the "slim line" grip frame, this helped a lot of shooters, unfortunately, that is not an option for most of the Glock large caliber pistols.
Yes, millions of law enforcement and military personnel deploy Glock pistols every day, but look at how many shots are fired vs. hits.
If a person is defending themselves against an animal attack, they will not have time to adjust their grip to accurately in order to get effective hits.
Having personally witnessed three bear attacks and multiple charges I can assure you that there is no time for any adjustments if the grip doesn't fit your hand.
