many cartridges with 1 powder

...there is no better powder than H-4350 for a "if you could only have one" plan....I've basically cleared my bench that looked like yours and am down to one for the most part..use it in just about everything ....only others are Vitt 133 and Varget for my ppc's and dashers..and H-4350 for everything based on the /06 casing, all my short mags and belted magmums...gave up a little velocity for the later but no game complained yet after being hit.. I'd like to see a more versatile powder..

The smart and experienced reloaders go with versatile powders and buy in bulk. At least this is what I've learned in the short time in the rabbit hole. Obviously I am influenced easily by suggestions and have have a bad case of fear of missing out (FOMO). There always seems to be something that I'm missing (RL26) that is the pixie dust for reloaders. I'm going to need to get more cabinet space.

I would consolidate to H1000 because I hunt mostly open country. I shoot mostly magnums and H4350 doesn't cover my 338Edge or 300 NMI. I have loaded 243WM, 270WSM, 300WM, 300PRC, 300NMI, 338Edge and 338Terminator all with H1000. I cant justify packing a 26" to 30" barrel and then giving up 100fps to run H4350 in a large magnum. If I hunted mostly timber or brush country then I could definitely standardize on H4350.

My powder addiction keeps me fully stocked with multiple lbs in H4350, H1000, R26, R23, N568 and N570. Additionally, I have a dozen partial 1lb containers of other powders stretching back to metal cans of IMR powders from the 90s.

If I could only pick 2 powders to shoot in everything, it wOuld be: H4350 & H1000. I could cover 95% of my rifles with those 2.
22GT, 6CM, 25CM, 6.5CM, 6.5 SLR, .260AI=H4350
6.5PRC, 6.5PRC/SI, 6.5SS, .280AI, 25SST, 7SS, 7RM, 28 Nos, 300PRC=H1000

I do not currently use H1000 in my 28 Nos, but I could.
I also use RL23 in a few, but could easily swap to H1000 with no issues.

No H 380 ? Isn't the IMR 4350 a little more temp sensitive as to the H 4350 ?
Sorry but no H380 on my shelf.
I believe IMR 4350 is more temp sensitive than the H 4350 but I started out using IMR and old routine's are hard to break. But after finally putting a chronograph on my 7-08 with IMR (thanks @john k for hurting my feelings) I branched out and got much better velocity and the same accuracy with Ramshot big game. H 4350 wasn't available at the time.

I have an H4350 load for every rifle I have.......7mm Rem Mag, .257AI, 30-06, and 6.5CM. And, one day, 7mm-08 will join the line up.
I generally use H4350 as my go to powder. I do use IMR4064 in my 220 Swift. I have a 338WM in a 24" I use W760, but only have used it in warm weather. 3200pfs with 200gr nosler. I have anotther rifle being built what has a 26" barrel for the 338WM. Iam hoping to acheive the same velocity, but with H4350 powder. I have used MRP in my 25/06's and its been very accurate in 4 rifles. If at all possible I stay with H4350 and 4831. I haven't tried H1000 or Retumbo yet. Have need them, and very hard to ge your hands onto.
I have and do use H4350 in all types of weather from -20 to 110+, without much change in point of impact out to 500yds. I believe the most stable powder of any powder made presently. If I am reading the Hodgdon Temp chart correctly it only change 3fps in 125 degree temp change. they are showing 0 to 125 dr. 3fps change. I generally us LR primers in my loads too. I am not loading more than 75grs either. I don't have a large overbore rifle that holds 80 to 120 grains of powder. I would probable switch to MLRP them.
